Whether you ride The Canada Line for an hour every day or just once in a while, one thing’s for certain: practically everyone has experienced this newest addition to the Lower Mainland’s transit network! The Canada Line whips through Richmond and Vancouver and connects to YVR International Airport, transporting over a hundred thousand people everyday to work, school, concerts, lunch dates, the airport and countless other daily activities. The Canada Line has become an essential part of people’s lives; the passengers and neighbourhoods through which she travels make up the unique characteristics that define life on The Canada Line.
It is not our destinations alone that make travelling the line worthwhile, but the great places and beautiful sights all along the way that enrich our daily lives. Your favourite thing may be the art installation ‘Walking Figures’ at Broadway-City Hall or the view from Vancouver Lookout at Waterfront Station. Whatever it is, we’d love to hear about your favourite places along the line, whether it is a great restaurant or club, a funky boutique, a piece of art or a breathtaking view. Whatever it is you LOVE along The Canada Line, we want to hear about it!
As part of “I Love Transit Week” (beginning Monday, July 16th) we want you to send us photos with description of your favourite places along The Canada Line. We will select five finalists on Thursday July 26th and let the public decide their favourite, announcing our winner Wednesday August 1st. All relevant submissions will be added to our online The Canada Line gallery so that others may share what you love about the line.
